Our Privacy Promise

GenFavicon is built on a simple principle: your image files should never leave your device. All favicon generation happens locally in your browser using JavaScript, the Canvas API, and Web Workers. We do not — and cannot — see, access, collect, or store your image files.

What We Collect

We collect essentially nothing.

• Image files you process: Not collected. All processing is client-side. Image files never leave your browser.
• Personal information: We do not require accounts, names, email addresses, or any personal data to use GenFavicon.
• Analytics: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free, does not track individual users, and collects no personal data — only aggregated page-view counts.
• Local storage: We store preferences (theme, last-used settings) in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device.

How Processing Works

When you use GenFavicon:

1. You select or drop your image files into the browser window.
2. The file is loaded into memory using the File API.
3. Processing occurs locally in your browser — the file never leaves your device.
4. The result is offered as a download.
5. At no point is your image files transmitted to any server.

You can verify this yourself: open your browser's Developer Tools → Network tab while using the tool — no file data is ever sent.

Google AdSense

We display advertisements via Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Cookies

We do not set our own cookies. However, Google AdSense and its advertising partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads. These cookies are controlled by Google and its partners, not by us.

Third-Party Services

• Cloudflare: hosting, DNS, and CDN. Serves our static files and provides anonymous usage analytics. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

GenFavicon is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Your Rights

Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. GenFavicon is a free service, and no payment data is collected.
